Business Impact Analysis consultancy and training services

Business Impact Analysis consultancy

Business Impact Analysis (BIA) is the foundation of a Business Continuity Management System. Good Business Continuity Plans are the result of rigorous analysis which can identify the most important products and/or services of an organisation that need to be maintained. BIA can also:

  • identify the critically important assets: processes (and their Maximum Tolerable Period of Disruption); systems (including Recovery Time Objectives).
  •  determine the people with essential skills
  •  dependencies between departments and on key suppliers and service providers

How we can help

Business Impact Analysis consultancy

However, organisations often do not have the in-house expertise, time, or tools to undertake BIA themselves. Our Business Continuity consultants employ proven software tools to conduct  consultations efficiently and systematically to assess the risks and priorities to underpin your Business Continuity Plans.

Business Impact Analysis training

Alternatively, we can train your staff in the use of these tools so that they can carry out their own Business Impact Analysis. Typically a JEC consultant conducts the initial consultation and analysis and is shadowed by a staff member nominated by the client organisation.  They are then, with coaching, equipped with the skills to use of JEC’s tool to conduct their own BIAs.

VP - Service Delivery Operations, AccessPay

John supported AccessPay as a consultant during the preparations for our ISO22301 Business Continuity assessment. This included assisting with Risk Assessments, training staff & planning exercises. We were working to a very tight timeline and John helped us to keep on track and to budget. His efforts were rewarded when BSI Certified AccessPay to ISO22301 in July 2015. If you have a similar project I would highly recommend contacting John for sound advice and a professional service.
